A treat from India

Top Review by Studentchef

I really love this recipe. It was alot easier than I thought it would be. I did bake this in the oven, but not at 450 degrees (somehow my oven reacts badly towards high temperatures), so I cooked this for a bit longer at 375 degrees. it took about 20 minutes to bakes them, and it turned out real good.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Put oil and onion into fry pan. Fry until browned. Add ginger, garlic powder, and curry powder. Cook and stir about 2 minutes. Add ground beef and scramble-fry. Stir in peas. Allow to cool.
  2. Cut egg roll wrappers diagonally into 4 triangles. Put about 1 tbsp, or less of mixture in center. Moisten edges with water. fold over and press to seal. Fry in 375°F fat until golden brown, turning once. To reheat place on baking sheet in 350°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until hot. Makes about 5 dozen.
  3. Note: wonton shins can be used. The are a bit thinner.
  4. Note: May be baked in 450°F oven for about 10 minutes. They don't get bubbly-brown in the oven as when deep fried.
