Traditionally eaten at the celebration of Samhain or other wise known as Halloween.

  1. Sauté the mushrooms and onions in the butter until tender.
  2. Add the salt, pepper, and wine; simmer over low heat until the mixture is reduced by half, about 5 minute
  3. Stir in the cream, bay leaf, celery seed, and thyme.
  4. Bring to a low boil.
  5. Pour over pasta.
  6. Decorate the top of each dish with fresh sliced mushrooms.
