I have made these before from a family recipe... I use plain yogurt instead of mayo (for a lighter fair) and I also add chopped onion... We love these in our house :)
fantastic recipe. ashamed to say i am usually strapped for time and had an old recipe i always made that used (gasp!) condensed cream of whatever soup. i absolutely love these and feel they are so much healthier than my old version. i use my own breadcrumbs with maybe a tablespoon or two of seasoned breadcrumbs added in. also have made with miracle whip when i don't have mayonnaise, and use dried minced onions instead of onion salt. they are amazing. thank you so much for this great recipe!
Excellent made as directed! Family LOVED!!
We had this last night for dinner- made as directed except for using Ritz cracker crumbs instead of breadcrumbs. Turned out great, tasted delicious. I even got my picky three-year-old to eat one (I told him they were "Crabby Patties", you know, like Spongebob- and he totally went for it, and really enjoyed it!) ;-)
These were delicious. I had to add a bit more bread crumbs because they were TOO moist to handle. I didn't add garlic powder, personal preference. I will make these again. I love salmon.
Before I do my review on this recipe, just let me say that I'm pleased to be the first to rate this recipe. This was made on 6/22/09 for mine and SO's dinner. Except for removing the bones, the recipe was made as written. I was slightly confused about the parsley though, not sure if dried or fresh parsley should have been used. So, a couple of good shakes of dried parsley was used and it seemed to work just fine. I just made them a bit on the large size so I only got 5, but that's o.k. The taste was very good, and will be made again. Thanks for posting and, " Keep Smiling :) "
