  • Dredge steak pieces in flour and pound with meat mallet or the edge of a plate. Brown in oil.
  • Meanwhile cook onions, garlic, and peppers in oil in dutch oven.
  • When steak is browned add to dutch oven.
  • Add salt and pepper to taste.
  • Add enough water to just come to the top of steak.
  • Simmer uncovered for about 2-3 hours until steak is fork tender.
  • Add mushrooms in the last hour.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes and your favourite vegetables.
