This was so good and simple. I doubled this as well. I was feeding 3 hungry guys. The only difference was that my breadcrumbs were seasoned. Served with Mashed Potatoes and corn. Thanks for the great recipe. It will be a regular in our house.

I doubled this recipe for my son and his friends that were having dinner with us, the boys gobbled this up and I really liked it too, at first I thought I really used much to much breadcrumbs but the finished product was a very good salsbury steak and a delicious gravy, I wanted to serve over mashed potatoes but the boys voted for noodles. This is great and very kid friendly.

I really like such easy recipes as this. I use my home-made salt free dried onion soup mix to
avoid the high sodium in the store-bought mixes. Other than that, I followed your recipe
exactly. It was very good and a family favorite.

This was wonderful! I used cube steak and increased the simmer time to 30 minutes. It turned out very tender and flavorful. I used homemade onion soup mix http://www.food.com/recipe/substitute-for-1-envelope-onion-soup-mix-186221 I just added it to the egg since I couldn't mix it in the beef.
Thanks for posting--I have a new stove top method for Salisbury steak now!

This was my life saver tonight! Forgot to take something out to thaw so I jumped on line to find a quick recipe and this was a WINNER! I ran to the market and got what little I needed. I did about 2 pounds of ground beef though and it was perfect for our taste buds. I even added some sliced onions. It was quick, easy and best of all inexpensive to make. Definitely making it into the rotation of weeknight dinners. Thanks for sharing a great recipe.

This was awesome. My family gobbled it up. Little Piggies!!! I did make just a few changes. I only had one onion soup mix on hand. So, I used one packet for the patties, and then poured one can of Fat Free Beef Gravey instead of Step #4. This one is a keeper!!!

Excellent! I used Mushroom Onion Soup Mix and added the can of mushrooms...very good!! I cooked the hamburger patties on our indoor grill to drain more fat off and then added to the pan of gravy. This is a very easy and tasty meal....goes great with mashed potatoes! Thanks for a keeper!

I used this very same recipe with great raves each and everytime I make it. Easy to make with things I had in my kitchen. My Brother and Niece both love to dip the patties in Ranch Dressing. So I have to make some to eat for dinner and some just for a snack. Thank You very much for posting. Hugs

This was wonderful! The onion soup, water and flour made a great gravy and I plan on using that in the future for other things. I used a cup of oatmeal in place of the breadcrumbs. We'll definitely have this again and soon! Thank you so much for posting.

Although my mother thought these were perfect I felt the texture was a little off. Not sure if it was the breadcrumbs or the lean meat I used. Great flavor and the gravy was TDF!

OMG! OMG! OMG! This was the best thing I've ever tasted!!! I did alter the recipe a tad, instead of 2 pkgs of onion soup mix, I only used one, then I covered the Steaks with 2 pkgs of prepared beef gravy....the onion taste was perfect, the gravy over it was fantastic...it is something that will be made over and over at my house.

I didn't bother using breadcrumbs, meat was great. This was a quick, satisfying family meal.

I also found this recipe to be very salty. I think it was the onion soup mix in the sauce, because I tasted the burgers without the gravy on it and they were delicious.

Our family really enjoyed this dish. However, I did find it to be quite salty. It may have just been the brand of onion soup mix. I think that next time I make this I will use a brown or onion gravy mix instead of the soup mix and flour for the gravy. I served it with mashed potatoes and DH loved it. Thanks for a great recipe that I will definately make again.
