Since I can't have gluten, I substituted extra onions and 2 minced mushrooms to the meat mixture. I didn't have any red wine, so I had to use grape juice with a little vinegar. Still a very good, easy recipe. Also, added a clove of minced garlic to the meat. Tasty!

Very good recipe! We really enjoyed this for dinner tonight, with new potatoes and veggies. I made this exactly as listed (for once!) and wouldn't change anything at all. My whole family agreed that it is a keeper! I made this for Pick A Chef 2011 for my adopted chef RagDoll90. Thanks for the great dinner! :)
