Delicious and easy way to cook pasta! We used spirals, which were on hand. I am glad you reminded people not to add oil to the cooking water. We served a chicken casserole over this. Before adding the chicken, I inhaled about a cup of pasta. Yummo! I saved the drained cooking water. Hope I can think of something interesting to do with it. Made and thoroughly enjoyed for Pick a Chef.

  1. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil. Add a large tablespoon of salt and the saffron. When the water boils furiously again, add the pasta. Stir to make sure the noodles don't stick together. (Do NOT add oil to the water!).
  2. Drain the cooked pasta well and add about 2 tablespoons unsalted butter to the pasta in its dish.
