      Fry the onions, garlic, ginger and spices in oil for around 5 minutes.

      Add the chopped tomatoes and continue to cook for another 5 minutes, making sure the heat is down to a simmer.

      Add the spinach and continue to simmer for a further 5 minutes.
    4. 4
      Add the paneer and yogurt and simmer for around 5 minutes.

      This came out delicious! There was only one item that I would add to the recipe instructions and that would be addition of a small amout of water to the pan, if needed, between each step to help keep the mixture moist and loose until finsh. Thanks!

      We used this recipe last night to use our first homemade paneer, and we loved the flavors in it. My husband says, "It didn't taste healthy", high praise indeed from a bacon fanatic. We used a combination of ground pasilla and mulato chiles. It's a quick meal, and we had it with Indian Roasted Cauliflower and brown basmati rice. We'll make this every time we make paneer in the future.

      Thank you so much for sharing this recipe, Bunny Erica. It is fabulous! I had to make my own Panir using Homemade Paneer (Panir - Indian Cheese). This is my second Indian dish for this session of PAC. I think I'll have to start making more Indian dishes. Made for PAC Fall 2009.
