Got this off of posted by Odette and she says this recipe has been in her family for at least 4 generations. These are wonderful - just scrumptious!

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In medium bowl, cream butter and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Combine the confectioner's sugar and flour and stir into butter mixture until well blended.
  4. Mix in chopped walnuts.
  5. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place them 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake for 12 minutes.
  7. Cool and roll in confectioner's sugar. I rolled mine 2-3 times to get well coated.

I actually did not have butter in my fridge, so I used sour cream instead. Turned out great!

I knew these as mexican wedding cakes...these cookies have a lot of names! This is the same recipe I've been using to make mine and they turn out wonderfully.
