    Ingredients:

    Directions:

      Put sugar and milk into a saucepan.
    2. 2
      Heat gently, sitrring constantly until sugar dissolves.
    3. 3
      Add condensed milk, butter, salt and golden syrup. Stir until butter has melted.
    4. 4
      Bring to the boil and continue boiling until the soft ball stage, stirring occasionally to prevent burning. (Drop a little bit of the mixture to a cup of cold water, if the mixture forms a slight ball then is it done).

      Remove from heat. Cool slightly.
    6. 6
      Beat until thick.

      Pour into buttered tin.
    8. 8
      Mark into squares. Cut when cold.

      Divine and so easy! Sometimes even fool proof recipes fail on me but this one turned out as perfect, melt in your mouth goodness! I followed im_a_piece_of_cake's advice and added vanilla after taking it off the heat and beat it for 4 minutes with an electric beater. Thanks for the recipe, will make a fab gift for some lucky family members this Xmas ;)

      great recipe it tastes best with just a teaspoon of vanilia extract (add vanilia after taking it off the heat). Also beat for four minutes with an electric beater. Great recipe though, my mum and brother loved it ♥

      Excellent recipe! I love brown sugar fudge and this was very easy to make, I too added vanilla and did beat it for 4 minutes like the others. Great suggestions. I used just over 1/2 cup butter for the 125g.
