Rum Slush

"This is wonderfully refreshing, especially on a hot day... This was given to me by my canadian cousins and when they came to visit me in Las Vegas, I had it ready for them"

 1. This drink is amazing. I made it as directed the first time. AMAZING. The second go round half the sugar, up the alcohol and lower the water by a cup each. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I have done this with both vodka and rum. Great on both fronts. I have also changed out the juices to use berry and grape as well. Also really good. Fantastic recipe in general.

 2. Thank you CoolMonday for the recipe I have been trying to find for almost 5 years. I wish I had made it sooner so you would know how much I enjoyed it. I first tried this at a get-together one summer with a few new friends, and this drink has always been a fond memory of that day. I tried another slush recipe on 'Zaar about 4 and a half years ago and it totally missed the mark. I hit the jackpot with yours. The perfect combination of fruity taste and alcohol. My search to duplicate that recipe is over. I just have to make sure the kids don't sneak it out of the freezer! I used one Berry Punch can and one Strawberry Daiquiri can instead of the citrusy stuff. Next time I will use two cans of Berry Punch - I like it really sweet. Thanks again, CoolMonday, for the perfect slush recipe. This recipe means alot to me because it reminds me of good times.

Sadly, CoolMonday passed away on November 16, 2007. She will be missed by her many friends at Recipezaar; and we're grateful for the fond memories we have. I'm the number one gramma of Rusty, Michael and Nikki. I know that because they told me so... hehehe...I live in the eternal city of lights, Las Vegas, Nevada. I stopped working about 3 years ago when I had some personal situations requiring my attention. I do love pizza, especially cold for breakfast the next day.. Since I discovered Zaar, I now prepare a large family meal once a month and I enjoy saving recipes and passing them on to my daughter. Most of the dishes are from Recipezaar.. so thank you very much. I have a good housekeeping cookbook that's about 40 years old and I love it... I have recipes I have saved over the years and have posted some of them. My pet peeve???? hmmmm that would have to be rude or inconsiderate people. Another pet peeve is people who "tell it like it is".
