A very nice, simple bread. It rose beautifully. I used butter, ap flour, buorbon (rather than rum) raisins. I divided the dough into fourths and made four mini-loaves, but they rose so beautifully high that they are hardly 'mini.' This loaf slices well, has a great crumb, and is delicious with cream cheese.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water.
  2. Combine flour through rum flavoring in a bowl.
  3. Stir in yeast mixture& knead to form a soft dough.
  4. Add golden raisins.
  5. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to coat.
  6. Cover& let rise until doubled, about 1 1/2 hours.
  7. Punch down, form in a greased loaf pan,& let rise again, about 1 hour.
  8. Bake at 350*F for 20-25 min, or until the top is browned.
