This is in my Ladies Home Journal 50 Greatest Desserts cook booklet. It has just a few ingredients and sounds simple to make. I have not tried this recipe. If you take a chance on it, I truly hope you enjoy it. Cook time is freeze time and it is estimated.

Yum! I halved this recipe so it would fit in my ice cream maker, but I left the rum at 1/4 cup (shhh) as I love the flavor. I also added some raisins, as I have a lot and I love rum raisin ice cream! I think the raisins actually took away from the rest of the ice cream; they were kind of tough (probably too dry) but better raisins might make this the perfect rum raisin ice cream! I loved the flavor the buttermilk added to this recipe. Great!

  4. Freeze according to the manufacturers instructions.
