An authentic German recipe adapted from Mimi's cyber kitchen. The original said to cook on stove top 6 hours, but I have adapted it to the crock pot.

I thought it was great, I omitted the red wine though and did not cook it to death for the 6-7 hrs., did it to my own taste. I am alway's modifying recipes anyway's I love to experiment and omitted the onions as well we don't eat alot of onions anymore. We had this for Easter Dinner today with corned beef-potato's, carrotts and apple pie. Happy Easter

  1. Cook cabbage in the butter, while covered, for 5 minutes.
  2. Place into a crock pot.
  3. Add sliced onions and apples.
  4. Add everything else.
  5. Cook on low 6-7 hours, until done to your liking. Enjoy!
