Yum! This made a lovely dessert. Reminded me of the falooda we eat back home in India. Apart from eating it with ice cream, we sometimes put falooda in our rose or pistachio milkshakes too. Will try the same with this recipe too. Thanks for posting!

This is a good recipe to top a scoop of ice cream. Mostly in Pakistan, instead of macaroni, agar noodles are used. This dessert is called falooda. I sometimes substitute small jello squares for noodles.

What an interesting & different dessert, & VERY NICE TASTING, too! I made my own rose syrup from a recipe here on Zaar & made rose water, too, & that worked fine for me! I liked the idea of the pistachios & probably used more than others would (1/4 cup altogether)! I really enjoyed making this one! Thanks for sharing! [Made & reviewed on the World Tour 4 as part of the Asian Challenge #2: The Countries of Asia, as a recipe of Pakistan origin]
