Tim C.: Grandma Rose used to make these as an appetizer or snack, and made without sauce. Looking up the history, these were the pre-cursor to the americanized 'meatball'.... americans demanded to have meat with their pasta.

  1. Mix all ingredients by hand on clean table or in big bowl until thoroughly blended.
  2. Roll meat into tube-shape about size and thickness of your thumb.
  3. Add veggie oil in frying pan so it's about 1/2" deep. Fry perpetties on medium heat, turning them frequently, until they are cooked all the way through. Add more salt & pepper to taste.
