This is a wonderful recipe for the bread machine. It's crusty on the outside and so soft on the inside it's incredible! One loaf doesn't last the whole day in my house! Note: This makes a 1.5 lb. loaf.

Yum! We loved this soft, flavorful bread. The texture is wonderful and it slices well even when warm. I made this as written except that I added 1/4 c. shredded sharp cheddar cheese and 1/4 c. shredded fresh Parmesan cheese to the bread machine. I served this warm with baked ziti. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is a keeper!

We loved the crisp crust and soft, dense interior of this bread. The rosemary and garlic gave it a wonderful rustic flavor. Thanks for posting!

I have been looking for a good french bread recipe and I HAVE FOUND IT!!!!!! The rosemary is a great addition. I am going to try it plain next time and see if it is the recipe I've been searching for- but I already think it is!! Thanks so much!!
