  1. These are really nice basic sugar cookies. They are easy to whip up and taste good. I reduced the butter a bit as I dont like my cookies to be too greasy and that way I didnt need to chill the dough and it was very easy to work with. I used only 60 g of sugar and the cookies are still nice and sweet. THANKS SO MUCH for sharing this recipe here with us, Ceezie. I ended up with 35 cookies from the full recipe. Made and reviewed for Sweet Traditions Tag Game November 09.

  2. Very good cookies! 1 thing I esp like about them is they are not as sweet as others, almost like a shortbread w/a cookie texture ~ a good thing if you like them frosted (DH) or lightly dusted w/powd sugar (me). They are an easy-fix w/just 5 ingredients, but IMO benefit from a tsp of vanilla as an add. The full chill time is a must. Even after that I found the dough moist & buttery, enough so that I used a fair amt of extra flour to roll & handle them. If vanilla is used, even more may be needed. My yield was 30 of the 3-in size & they were done at 8 min ~ just barely getting a light crunch on the bottom & edges, but still soft & chewy. Made for Spring PAC 2008 & thx for sharing your recipe w/us.

  3. I changed the white sugar in these to organic dried cane juice so that my Son, whom has Autism, could eat them. He never gets cookies so he LOVED THESE!!! Very easy to make, tasty and easy to adapt for different diets.
