This is excellent! DH usually doesn't like spinach mixed into food like this but he acually liked this! I did not use the milk or grated parm. I got 2 BIG calzones out of this with a little bit of the filling left over...maybe to put in a wrap for lunch tomorrow? Thank you for posting this!

Sweet! After Thanksgiving, we really didn't want to cook and turkey sandwiches just didn't sound good again, so this was a great blend for an otherwise 'pizza delivery' kinda night. It's a ggrreeaaat taste and can be done with lower fat ingredients with a great outcome. Thanks Pamela!

Mmmmm....these turned out really yummy. I didn't like the dough, but that's not Pamela's fault. The dough I used ended up being too elasticky and was hard to work with and tough to eat. I froze half and dh has enjoyed them for lunches. Thanks!

These are really yummy and definitely don't taste like a left-over meal. It'd be worth to buy roast turkey or chicken just to make these. Making your own pizza dough makes it a little more work, but I did and used the suggested recipe as I had made it before and liked it a lot. I didn't have any canned pizza sauce, so I chopped some shallots, basil and garlic and added two cans of chopped stewed tomatoes, some sugar, salt, pepper and a piece of parmesan rind and simmered it all for about 30 minutes until the flavours had blended and the moisture from the tomatoes had reduced. The only thing I'd change is to probably add more cheese to the filling as I like my calzone to be a bit more cheesy. I might try making these with ham next time and spreading a little of the sauce on top before sprinkling with cheese and baking. I got 8 calzones and froze half of them. I didn't top the ones I planned to freeze with cheese, but will do that when I reheat them. Thanks for sharing this great recipe and sorry the review is so long! ;D
