I wish I could star rate this recipe, but I messed up so bad that I can't. I forgot to add the milk AND the sugar. They are hardly edible as is, but I figure I can crumble them and mix them with sugar to use in a pie crust or something. I can't stop eating these, they're so yummy! As a chocoholic I thought the cocoa was a bit low, but the hint of choc flavour matches so well with the roasted pecans. A keeper. Made for ZWT3
I tagged these little beauts a few months ago, but couldn't review them because the comments part was not showing up and then I didn't have internet accesss. These cookies were really delish.I had to use cake flour which caused them bake up soft,puffy, abit crispy on the edges and cakey. the cocoa off set the pecans beautifuly. I couldn't stop eating these! I love pecans, and there were pieces in every bite! I use the Hershey's special dark cocoa, so I actually had some color in my cookies, and a hint of chocolate taste. The texture and flavor is really nice.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM....gooood... =) i love the suttle cocoa and cream cheese flavor. i halved the recipe, added chopped milk chocolate chunks, and used fat free cream cheese. this is a wonderful cookie, thanks for posting it!!
I wish I could give these more than 5 stars! They were so easy to throw together and had an incredible texture and flavor. You wouldn't guess there is cocoa in them because it mimics the pecan flavor. These will be repeated again and again!
