This was a delicious treat! I had some pears I needed to use up and surfed Zaar for a recipe when I came across yours. Very rich and tasty! I used Creme Fraiche and chopped walnuts as garnish, everybody loved it.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Wow, was this OVER THE TOP! An amazingly easy dessert, yet so impressive when served. We gobbled up the whole thing before I could snap a picture. One thing -- it is so rich, I think that 4 pears ought to be 8 servings, or 1/2 pear each. That's what we did, and it was more than enough. Thanks, hannahactually, for an AMAZING dessert!

This is very easy and very good, and makes a huge amount of very sweet caramel sauce. My only suggestion would be to add a bit of salt to the sauce to temper the sweetness a little bit.

I made these last night because I needed to use up some left over pears, and instead of brown sugar I used Rapadura (a sugar healthy substitute). WOW!!! What a nice treat! Both my DH and I loved this dessert. I was really surprised that the Sour Cream was the perfect compliment to this dessert. I will be trying this recipe with apples in the near future! Thank you for the wonderful recipe, it will become a regular in our house! Thank you Hannahactually!

This recipe is so unbelievably easy. It is absolutely delicious and a perfect summer/fall treat! It was almost too rich, but it was so good!!!! I used the sour cream and it was perfect to compliment the other very sweet flavors. Next time I want to try vanilla ice cream!!

This is one of my favorite desserts right now. I served it once with vanilla ice cream and once with sour cream; it tastes fabulous both ways. I used ripe, flavorful pears I got from the farmer's market, and I think you could also try this with apples or peaches. You won't believe how easy this is to throw together on a week night. It also looks and tastes divine! Thanks for posting it.
