Boy, is this delicious! We ordered a bruschetta appetizer at a fancy restaurant on Hilton Head Island, SC. This recipe is as good if not better, than the roasted cherry tomatoes on the brushetta appetizer. I ate these straight up, in a tossed salad and on Italian bread to mop up the extra juice in the bowl.
These were delicious. I served them as a side dish to baked fish. As some other suggested, I also added crumbled feta cheese and also some chopped pecans. Will try these again.
Wow, this was an amazing dish! I've been trying to use up the tons of cherry and grape tomatoes from my garden and this was a delicious way to use a bunch. I served it over ravioli filled with goat cheese and it was a winner at my house!
These were wonderful! My BF does not usually like any kind of tomatoe but he made an exception with these. Made pasta and they were a nice added touch. Thanks Derf for making me look like a great cook!
I really enjoyed this but I'm a bit biased since I'm a HUGE tomato fan. This is one of several cherry tomatoe recipes I make as a side dish. The flavors were wonderful. Due to time constraints, I never strained the sauce and warmed it to reduce. I will do that next time but still felt the flavors were wonderful. I added extra garlic but other than that stuck to the recipe. GREAT!
Fabulous simple but flavorful recipe. I am a big fan of balsamic on anything, and if it's tomatoes then it's sure to be a winner. The flavor just pops when you roast tomatoes. I made the creamy cucumber salad I found on recipezaar and surrounded it on the platter with these lovely gems as a garnish. The toms were gone before the salad!! One note to those who said they are freezing the rest -- tomatoes generally don't freeze well -- since it's a quick easy recipe just make some more fresh ones. =) Thanks Skeeter for a real winner!
All my dinner guests raved about this recipe. Served it as a side dish on its own. Forgot the fresh basil, but it was great just the same.

Great recipe - I used these as a pasta sauce and added breadcrumbs roasted over the top. Delicious.
These are just so good! I wish I had made more of them, but used up the tomatoes that remained in my garden. I made the recipe as written and savored every bit of the delicious sauce.
