Really nice. The asparagus was not the least bit tough or stringy, very tender & delicious. I generally buy the pencil thin asparagus to avoid this regardless. I think I will be making this my mainstay prep method in the future. I significantly reduced the salt in the recipe (personal preference & healthier). Awesome flavor (perhaps the addition of garlic or lemon next time?). Thanks for posting!<br/>Update 12/4/14-Finished with lemon juice & pepper, reducing the salt= perfection.
I also sprinkled Parmesan cheese on top the last few minutes. Love it!
Excellent and so easy. I wish I had read the review about putting everything in a bag and shaking it before I made it, but roasting is so superior to other ways of cooking asparagus! Very yummy!
Used this recipe today to go along with salmon, roasting it gives it a whole new flavor rather then steaming it.
Super simple and delicious. We love our asparagus in this house and this technique of oven roasting it is especially enjoyed. I always use olive oil and kosher salt and usually put on fresh ground black pepper on it as well. I cook asparagus at least once a week and have used your recipe often. Delicious! The only thing I did a little different was I used sea salt on mine. I also used Geema's suggestion of using a zip bag...great idea! Thank you for sharing.
