Excellent! I love the flavor from the butter mixture, which also worked to keep the chicken tender. I had a little less than a 4 lb. chicken, so decreased the cook time to just a little over an hour. The sauce was really yummy and a nice change from regular gravy. Thank you!

Excellent roast chicken. I cut the recipe in half due to just 2 of us and we really got 4 servings. I made as posted but just cut the cooking time down to 1 hour and it seemed to work. You can just taste a hint of the orange. The chicken was moist and tender with a crispy crust. We loved the sauce. I followed suit with another reviewer and cut the butter in half. Worked great plus lowered the amount of fat. The dogs loved the discarded veggies in their evening meal. Thanks Vickie for posting. :)

I pretty much followed the recipe, though I did use a rounded tablespoon of the zest & included the orange inside the chicken! Great taste all the way around ~ Served with some brown rice, lemon dijon cauliflower & some green beans! Thanks much for sharing your recipe! Excellent! Wonderful combination of ingredients - all our favorites making it a winner at our house. Made as posted - and threw in a little garlic too - family loved it and it's special enough to serve your guests. Thank you.

I had to make this chicken after reading about it in the BEst of the Zaar World Tour thread. This recipe produces a very nice roasted chicken with wonderful flavors (I just LOVE Rosemary). I reduced the butter by half, and it could easily be reduced by more. The butter made a nice crisp skin. I stuffed the cavity of the chicken with a cut up orange. The 5 year old really loved the sauce!! Thanks Lazyme! *Zaar World Tour 3*

This is a really nice chicken dish. I love the rosemary/orange combo. I added 5 cloves of garlic to the roasting pan as well as about 1 cup of chicken broth. And as suggested, I quarted the orange and put it in the cavity. Easy, and delicious!
