This is five stars for sure. I made some changes to make it even easier and it came out perfect! First I used Low fat cream cheese (just to try and make it a little less fattening.) Then added Canned Dices Jalapeños much less mess and I always have some in the cupboard anyway. I Then was able to buy jalapeño jelly at the local supermarket. I live in Arizona so Jalapeño jelly is not hard to find. This took me less than 20min to prepare and have ready to serve. The crowd loved it and I had no leftovers!!! The best appetizer recipe EVER!
OOPS! You need more than "a drop" of the water mixture, I put it on the edge inside and then on the crease outside to make sure it stayed "glued" together. I didnt think of taking a picture (Duh, me) but will next time! Dont be intimidated to try this, it really was easy and was a hit with the whole Fam/ even my 19 month old semi-picky eater loved it!
I worked at this restaurant and its missing cheddar cheese (shredded)
Tasty Texas Egg rolls...can't get enough of them!
One suggestion to save time though, unless you want an entire batch of sweet spicy jalapeno jelly dipping sauce (much too much for just one batch), you can make a simpler sweet spicy sauce recipe by adding 1/4 cup corn syrup, 2 Tbsp vinegar, 1 tsp chili flakes (or 1/2 jalapeno minced, remove seeds if you want less heat). Microwave for 40 seconds, and stir. Add 1 Tbsp raspberry jam if making jalapeno popper sauce. Delish dish!
This recipe is awesomely accurate... the egg rolls don't look quite the same but taste almost exactly like the road house ones.
