Road Trip Snack Mix

I make this every time we go on a road trip; it's great for snacking on the road. You can either pack it in a couple of large bowls, or into individual zip top bags for the kids. It makes lots!

Ingredients:

Servings: 12

• 1 (10 ounce) package mini twist pretzels
• 1 (12 ½ ounce) box Ritz Bits miniature crackers (or Ritz sticks snack crackers)
• 1 (9 ¾ ounce) can salted cashews
• 1 (7 ¼ ounce) package bite-size cheddar cheese goldfish crackers
• 1 (1 ounce) package ranch dressing mix
• ½ cup vegetable oil

Directions:

1. In a very large bowl, combine the pretzels, Ritz bits, cashews, and crackers.
2. (I use my largest roasting pan for this.).
3. Sprinkle evenly with dressing mix, then drizzle with oil.
4. Stir gently but thoroughly until all pieces are well coated.
5. Store in an airtight container.

This was ok. Very boring flavor (just salty) even after doubling the seasonings like some reviewers suggested. It was very easy, but I probably won't be making it again.

Loved it! And it was so darn easy...could not find the small ritz bits without filling so I used the new ritz bits that are part pretzel...turned out perfect.

This is soooo yummy. I forgot to review this when I made it a long time ago. Then, I was looking for something to bring to a gathering and remembered this. I was at the grocery store, but I came close to remembering all the ingredients except the goldfish. I bought frito scoops, so I had to use those instead. I look forward to doing it again with the goldfish..as it is better when the ingredients are smaller in size. Thanks for this take-along great.
