  • Preheat oven to 450.
  • Combine dry ingredients. Cut in shortening until the mixture resembles coarse corn meal.
  • Stirring with a fork, add the milk mixture to make a soft dough
  • Turn out on a board, kneed lightly for a minute. Roll 1/2 inch thick. Cut with a biscuit cutter.
  • Place on a greased baking sheet.
  • Bake for 12-15 minutes.
