Ridiculously Fantastic Ribs

"These are the best ribs I have ever eaten. You can use one rack of ribs for the recipe and cut the sauce into quarters (or thirds if you like your ribs saucy) to save some for later. If you follow the directions verbatim it is impossible to mess this up. Enjoy!"

directions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Meanwhile, prepare the sauce: Combine all of the ingredients in a heavy pot over med-low heat. Cook, stirring to heat through, about 5 minutes. (Do not boil.) Strain to remove the garlic. Cool to room temperature. Use the sauce immediately or refrigerate, covered, for up to 2 weeks. (Makes 3 cups.).
  • Place the ribs, meaty side up, in baking pans to fit. Season well with salt and pepper, then cover with 2 cups of sauce. Bake for 1 hour, basting with the remaining sauce after a half hour. Cut the ribs apart and serve.
