    Prince Pear's Note:

This cake gets its flavor from Guava Extract. I got mine from Faerie's Finest, and it's great! If you can't find guava extract (It is a beautiful and POWERFUL!!! flavor) you could always use a couple teaspoons of guava paste.

    Units: US | Metric

    • 1 (18 1/4 ounce) box white cake mix (Duncan Hines brand, Or any brand of white cake mix...)
    • 3 egg whites
    • 1 1/3 cups water
    • 2 tablespoons oil (Vegetable or any flavorless cooking oil)
    • 2 teaspoons faerie's finest guava extract (start off with one teaspoon, if it needs more flavor, then add the second.)
    • 1 teaspoon food coloring (red)
    • 2 teaspoons food coloring (blue)
    • cooking spray
    • 1 (8 ounce) can white frosting (Any brand)

    Directions:

    1. 1
      Heat your oven to 350°F.
    2. 2
Seperate the egg whites from the yolks. This will give you a true white cake. (Plus it might be a LITTLE healthier -- ) Do this into a bowl.
    3. 3
Add the food colorings to the water then pour it into the bowl.
    4. 4
Add the extract, then dump in the entire contents of the cake mix.
    5. 5
Beat the mixture until it comes together to a nice batter -- Look! It's purple --
    6. 6
Go ahead and beat it for around three minutes or until it really comes together.
    7. 7
Spray two 9 inch cake pans with non stick cooking spray and pour the batter in equal amounts into the pan. Doesn't it smell so -- Tropical?.
    8. 8
Cook for around 30-35 minutes. If a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean then it's done!
    9. 9
Let it cool, then frost away! (You could use a homemade icing, or the guava cream cheese one I'll post soon!).
