From Better Homes and Gardens' "Meals with a Foreign Flair". I have not made this yet, am posting for ZWT 3.
- Stir butter to soften; blend in sugar and salt. Add egg; mix well. Stir in sifted flour.
- Chill slightly.
- On floured surface, roll out in 12-inch circle. Using rolling pin to transfer dough, carefully place over outside of 9-inch round cake pan. (Shape dough to sides of pan almost to rim. Be sure there are no thin places, especially at corner.) Trim.
- Place pan, crust up, on cooky sheet. Bake at 450° for 8 to 10 minutes or till lightly browned. Cool few minutes; while slightly warm, transfer crust to plate.
- Use for Recipe#229805 or with your favorite tart filling.
