These turned out lovely! Very full and fluffy and perfect! I followed Chef's advice to make sure everything was room temperature and I imagine that helped too. I highly recommend this simple and delish recipe!
I have never commented on a recipe on any website before, but I just had to for these. They are the best waffles I have ever made. They are thick, crisp and delicious. The grandkids ate every bite. The recipe doesn't require too many dishes/utensils. I am saving this recipe and never returning to the thin, soggy kind. I can't wait to make them again.
I love the texture of these waffles. Very fluffy. However, I can taste the eggs too much and didn't care for that.
I just made these for breakfast and they are the best waffles ever! I increased the sugar to 3 total teaspoons. I got three big square waffles out of the recipe. I haven't used my waffle iron in a couple of years because I couldn't find a recipe that was good enough! Trust me, these waffles are outstanding! I put pure maple syrup on them with a little butter and I am in heaven!

After thirty years of marriage, we FINALLY got a waffle iron and these were the first waffles we made. They are likely to be the only breakfast waffle recipe we use! Followed the recipe exactly as written and ended up with the best waffles - soft in the center, crunchy on the outside with a tender crumb and eggy flavor. Excellent.
I made these with chicken and waffles. The waffles were delicious, and not tasteless like some other recipes. I did add a little more brown sugar, and followed the recipe exactly.
Great recipe. I separate out the egg whites, beat till stiff peaks form. Fold in gently just before you pour batter into the waffle iron.
