Very tasty so much better than plain rice
- 1 cup jasmine rice
- 1⁄2 cup orzo pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 1⁄4 cups chicken broth
- in a medium sauce pan brown the pasta in the oil until golden brown.
- add chicken broth bring to a boil.
- add rice and garlic.
- cover and cook over low heat 20 minutes.
- remove from heat and let rest for ten minutes.
- stir and enjoy.
Most excellent. Especially topped off with a little grated parmesan.

Had the LDS Missionaries over for dinner last week. They were very restrained the first time. They pigged out on seconds! They really liked the combo. And there was still leftovers for me for the next two days!
That is a lousy photo. I took it with my cellphone. The colors of the sauteed pasta didn't show up. Trust me, I toasted the pasta. Next time I'll use a real camera.
Good alternative to plain white rice! It reminds me of Lebanese rice.
