Your directions were just perfect. This turns out so pretty, a terrific summer side dish. I did not use spinach as DH doesn't like it cooked, but had some fresh chard still in a container garden along with basil. The prep time is significant, but these can easily be made ahead. Certainly worth the effort, and a healthy way to use this fun vegetable.

Absolutely delicious! What a lovely presentation too. I topped mine with gruyere cheese and parmesan cheese and it was delicious. I cooked it on the BBQ and served it up with chicken breasts. Thanks again for this great recipe! Will be making it again for sure.
