This was just the way it is supposed to be! Very authentic and very yummy. We made it for our Nisse - yes we have one coming all the way from Denmark every December with small gifts throughout the month of December. So last night my girls decided that he should have some Risengroed which is their favorite treat. We of course had to try it as well and we liked it so much that we had to be very dilligent that there was enough left for our nisse. It is a MUST to add a bit of butter (salted) and a sprinkle of sugar and cinnamon on top. I also make the Christmas dessert pudding you mention and from now on this recipe will be my go-to recipe for the base for that dessert. I checked the girls' rooms this morning - and I think our nisse really liked it as well, because he ate it all up!
