This started out from the joy of cooking. Over time, this is the end result. I use this whenever I need rice. The secret is exact measurments for water and rice.

  1. Melt butter in a 2 qt. saucepan over high heat.
  2. Saute' onion and green pepper until tender crisp.
  3. Add rice; cook for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Add water and chicken bouillon; bring to a boil.
  5. Stir once.
  6. Reduce heat to low.
  7. Stir once.
  8. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
  9. Don't look!
  10. Remove from heat and uncover.
  11. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
  12. Serve hot.

This was pretty good. I made this last night to go with our fish. My rice was a little sticky but nothing that stopped up from eating it. Thank you for sharing with us.

A good rice recipe. Not your typical rice pilaf you get in the restaurants but very good. I made it exactly as recipe states and rice was done to perfection. Flavor was good and it was colorful on the plate. My husband gave it a thumbs up!
