Good, but very salty. I used the lesser amount given of the onion soup mix(I used Lipton brand) and still found it to be overly salty. I am sorry - I usually love your recipes and I am very fond of kugels, but this one just didn't go over very well with my family. I cooked it for 50 minutes at 350 F.

You were sooo right, nobody could guess or came even close to thinking Snap, Crackle and Pop were involved making this kugel!!!
They loved it and my sister-in-law asked for the recipe before they returned home. It was extreemly easy to put together. Thanks Mirj, this will be made again!!!

5 stars from the whole family even the picky 7 year old. It really doesn't seem like its made with rice krispies at all. I messed up and only had 1 1/2 cups of cottage cheese but it still turned out well. I used 3 tablespoons of the soup mix and think any more would have been too much. I may try 2 next time. This was part of a great shabbat meal of Sweet & Sour Fish Sweet & Sour Fish and steamed baby carrots. Thanks so much for posting. I was told to make sure I don't loose this recipe ;)

Definitely different, but extremely tasty as well as being rich and filling. We loved this, and future hubby had no idea Rice Krispies were involved! I served it as a side to sauteed okra and peppers, where it was just perfect. Baked ours at 375 F for about 45 minutes, then increased the heat to 400 F for the last fifteen.
