A very creamy oatmeal with just a hint of sweetness when made as written using only the listed raisins. Using the rice maker for oatmeal was a first for me and while I made as written the light on the one cycle of my rice cooker took 20 minutes to go off. Thanks for the post.
First time I've tried oatmeal in the rice cooker. I had to add about 3/4 extra cup of water, but then it was just right.
I would really like to use my rice cooker to prepare steel cut oats. I tried this yesterday and it boiled over and made quite a mess!!! I used the 2 cups water & 3/4 cup oats - should have handled it. Any suggestions?
HA! Worked slicker then a whistle! Tossed in some craisins.. yumo!!
I love this recipe using the rice cooker's delay timer... put all of the ingredients in the night before, set the timer, and wake up to warm oatmeal.
