This is a great recipe, once you try it, it will always be a favorite. I don't deep fry often but this is worth it!! I some times add mozzarella cube in center and have a little tomato sauce on the side The size of the balls will determin # of servings

  1. Cook sausage meat, chop meat and onions
  2. Drain grease.
  3. Add peas and tomato paste.
  4. Add cheese.
  5. Mix with cooked rice.
  6. Shape into balls ( I find bigger than a golf ball, smaller than a base ball is about right ).
  7. Dip in egg.
  8. Roll in bread crumbs.
  9. Deep fry till brown 2-3 at a time.( 2 minutes ).
  10. drain on paper towel.

These are the best rice balls I've ever made. I tried to please my children by leaving out the peas. It is a mistake peas are a must. I also like to cut up some jalapeƱo peppers to make it a little spicy for myself. Love this recipe!
