  1. This is good, but I used it as a base for a recipe my mom made that I was too lazy to find the paper recipe. Mom's layers sliced celery under the tuna, then cheddar cheese layered over the tuna and parmesan cheese in the crust. Mom's may even have had some salt and pepper in the crust. I also use the tuna water and powdered milk for part of the milk. Thanks!!

  2. This was really good. I didn't know what "Bake in moderate" meant, so I baked in 350 oven, and that worked fine. Also, I could only find 170 g cans of tuna, so I used less than the recipe, but it still turned out very well. The marjoram is a wonderful flavor for this.

  3. This was OK, but not quite enough flavor for our family.

  4. This was a really good recipe. I used it as a guideline I guess you could say. I started out fine, but ran into some problems with no ingredients on hand and had to change somethings. But all in all it is a good recipe. The good thing about this is you can use any filling you like. I did use the tuna, however next time I may try chicken with salsa :)

  5. I made this recipe and found that I did not have any marjoram, but it still turned out fine. I did add some salt, pepper, and paprika to the rice crust and added a little bit of celery salt to the filling. This is a flexible recipe that can be suited to anyones taste. Thanks For Sharing!

Tweaks

  1. Have grown up with Tuna Pie. It's always our family's favorite meal. We add sliced green olives to the crust. Exclude all marjoram, but ad a touch of nutmeg and pepper to the tuna base. We also scald the milk before adding it to the tuna to help cook the egg. Smoothering it with Swiss cheese until golden brown makes it perfect.
