I have never been a fan of tuna casserole. Don't know why? I like tuna and I like noodles, just don't like them together. This recipe makes serving tuna different, but very tasty. The rice is the crust while the tuna, cheese and egg make the filling. Reheats well in a micorwave for lunch/dinner the next day.

I will make this recipe again. I followed the other reviewer's suggestion and added some cayenne pepper so it had a little zing. Next time I'll use sharp chedder instead of the Swiss for added flavor. The dish looked and smelled wonderful.

Every time Dh asks me what's for dinner I reply, "Tuna Surprise." Well, this really was a tuna surprise. I was surprised at how attractive, moist and delicious it is. Made a couple of minor changes using olive oil rather than butter and soy milk rather than milk. Next time I'll add a few dashes of Tabasco sauce to the milk just to jazz things up a bit.

Little unsure about how to rate this. I personally thought it was a little bland, even though it did look and smell very nice. My picky one year old however, gobbled it up. Maybe if the tuna was mixed in with the egg/milk mixture it would be better, all the flavor seemed to be in the cheesy part.
