My sitter gave me the recipe and it reminds me of coffee cake.

Made this cake for company. Baked it in a 9x9 pan and had to leave it in the oven for 60 minutes. Wonderfully moist and stayed moist for several days. Excellent taste!

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Cream sugar, shortening and eggs.
  2. Sift flour.
  3. Then add soda,spices and salt.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Then stir in rhubarb.
  6. Pour into an 8"x 12" pan.
  7. Then mix the brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts (topping).
  8. Sprinkle over the top of the batter and Bake 350* for 30 to 35 minutes.
