- Mix eggs and milk together.
- Add toast, rhubarb, sugar and cinnamon.
- Pour into buttered casserole.
- Bake at 350 for one hour, or until custard is set.
I adjusted this recipe to 6 servings with the same amount of baking time, and it turned out great! Crunchy on top and moist underneath.
I did make some changes with this recipe. I used 1/2 cup sugar and about 2 - 3 cup rhubarb and a bout 4 cups of stale French bread. I cooked the dish for 50 minutes then sprinkled brown sugar over top and broiled for 1-1/2 minutes. Enjoyed it!!!
So simple! So delicious! I didn't change a thing and everyone loved it!
