This recipe comes from my mom's best friend, Reta.

  1. Bring the first three ingredients to a boil,then add crushed graham wafers, walnuts, coconut and cherries.
  2. Line a baking dish with whole graham wafers. Add filling, cover with whole wafers.
  3. Ice with butter icing.
