This was GREAT... it worked perfect for my Long Island Iced Tea :-) Thanks for sharing
I never bought sweet & sour mix and was glad to find this recipe. It tastes great like this. I used it in this margarita : Cadillac Margarita Thanks Marguerite :) Edited on June 15th : I tried it with cold water and splenda and it is perfectly the same and less calories.
Love this sweet& sour mix not to sweet , not to sour!!
Perfect! and so easy! I have always just purchased sweet and sour mix, as I used to have a fave, which I can no longer find...This is wonderful, inexpensive, and I can make it to suit myself, with a bit more or less of the 'simple syrup' mix. I don't think I have to worry about looking at the store anymore! Thanks for posting, Marguerite214.
Excellent in margaritas! We leave out the food coloring. Very simple and natural. I'll never be able to drink a commercial mix without turning up my nose. Thanks!
Excellent! We use it in Long Island Iced Tea every weekend! Perfect! Thanks so much!
not too sweet and not too sour...very good
Very useful recipe, which worked very well in my Long Island Iced Tea, and which I can see would be great in a lot of drinks. The children mixed it with sparkling water, and loved it. I omitted the food colouring - I haven't come across "sweet and sour mix" in the UK, so I don't need to emulate its colour!
This seems to work really well in all the drinks recipes that call for it, wheather you add the coloring or not. I will always have some of this on hand in the fridge!
