I made this recipe as is except i reduced the lemon to 1 cup and it was perfect. I think if i had added the extra 1/2 cup it would have been far too tart. It made a lovely and diffrent lemonade from the usual mint lemonade we drink. I loved the gingery taste.

Want a ticket to 'Ginger-Lemonade Heaven' - YOU GOT IT in this recipe! I have been wanting to make this ever since the day this recipe was posted. Finally, I'm so glad I made this today! I used 655ml of cold water in step 8(it did not say how much water to add). Other than that little problem I faced, this recipe seems perfect to me. This drink served chilled on a hot summer day is 'heaven'! I wish I could give you a whole lot more than 5 stars for this beautiful drink. It is SO REFRESHING, you'll forget how tired you were after taking the first sip! I just finished making this and took a sip(I'm too impatient to wait for it to chill, so, I just poured some of it into a glass and added 6 ice-cubes;) This tastes incredible - it's got just the right hint of the spice of ginger and the citrusy coolness of the lemonade. This is a lovely drink and I swear I'll be making this often in this summer. I really wish this recipe gets the attention of alot more people and they enjoy it as much as I did.

I was very anxious to try this and I am so glad I did. My daughter (she's 2) and I tasted the syrup and as soon as I tried that I knew it was going to be good (she loved it, too). I added enough water in step 8 to make a gallon total, and I could not stop drinking it.Thank you for posting this!
