I love salad and I always use red wine vinager and oil, I just toss in the ingredients without knowing how much of each I use. So I decided to measure the ingredients so I could post it as a recipe. I was reading a bottle of salad dressing that I bought and realizes how much sugar and other stuff that I never thought would be in salad dressing, was in it! This is a good recipe because you know exactly what is in it!

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 13 cup oil
  • 23 cup red wine vinegar
  • 14 cup water
  • 1 garlic clove, minced (garlic salt can be substituted, although it might not taste the same)
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon pepper (add more s&p if needed, it really makes a big difference in taste)

Directions

  1. mix all ingredients in a jar w/lid or stir and use quickly and pour over your choice of greens.
  2. TIP: try with leftover crispy bacon pieces on salad. Not sure why, but this dressin and bacon pieces go well on salad.
