Red Wine Stew With Herb Dumplings

This recipe is delicious on a cold winters night and quite simple to make.If you only have a small slow cooker half the ingredients.

  1. Put meat in a plastic bag,add gravy mix and shake well to coat.
  2. Place onion, green beans, carrots and garlic into 4-6 quart slow cooker.
  3. Top with coated meat.
  4. Mix all ingredients that are left except Herb Dumplings.
  5. Pour into cooker.
  6. Cover and cook on Medium heat setting 6 hours or until meat is tender.
  7. To make Dumplings, Mix Bisquick, thyme and sage.
  8. Stir in milk until Bisquck is moistened.
  9. When stew is cooked, drop dough by spoonfuls into hot beef mixture.
  10. Cover and cook on High heat setting 25 to 35 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center of dumplings comes out clean.
  11. Serve and Enjoy.
