Oh this is so so good and so so quick. This is great with anything from tacos to biscuits. Is a great side dish.
- 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes (petite)
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 cups rice
- In a saucepan bring tomatoes and their juices, chicken broth( if using a can of chicken broth you won't have the entire 3 cups so just sub. with water), garlic powder, sugar and salt to a boil.
- Stiri in the rice reduce heat and cover.
- Simmer until rice is cooked through (about 20 minutes).
