  1. Preheat oven to 400°F
  2. Using a mixer, mix flour, baking powder, salt and garlic powder together.
  3. Add shortening and buttermilk and mix until blended.
  4. Drop onto parchment lined baking sheet and brush with well whisked mixture of egg and parsley.
  5. Bake 12-15 minutes.
