Ok, I toodled and messed a bit with this recipe. Really all I did was cut portions in 1/2, but wasn't perfect about it... anyway, it is definitely a vinegary slaw!! I actually added 1 tsp sugar to the 1/2 portion I made and that eased it's tartness! But it was yummy with pub style fish (breaded - from Costco, haddock) and a little tartar sauce (recipe from here). I think ultimately this combo for a fish taco would be awesome. But it was yummy just put together on a fork! Cabbage is good for your Stomach, it was perfect with the vinegar to cut the greasiness from the fish. Thank you!!

Directions

  1. Quarter and core red cabbage. Slice thinly.
  2. Peel and grate carrots. Chop cilantro.
  3. Toss all ingredients together. Let stand 1 hour. Toss again.
